On 20 March 2026, APRA decommissioned its Direct to APRA (D2A) system following the identification of security vulnerabilities (link). Regulated entities must now meet their reporting obligations through interim arrangements while APRA accelerates the full transition to APRA Connect.

RegCentric is making RegConnect available free of charge for a three-month period to support industry through this transition.

HOW IT WORKS

PREPARE

Use your existing process to prepare and populate the regulatory reporting forms, whether built in-house or through vendor solutions.

 

RegConnect includes reporting form templates  that are aligned to regulators' reporting standards and that are kept up to date.

VALIDATE

Use RegConnect to automatically validate your data in the forms against the pre-defined APRA rules. RegConnect supports validation of both mandatory rules as well as confirmation rules.

SUBMIT

Use RegConnect to convert your populated forms into XML format. 

You can now load the generated XML files into APRA Connect as an ad-hoc submission, or as instructed by APRA.

Trusted, proven and secure

RegConnect has been in use by Australian banks, RFCs, insurance companies and superannuation funds since 2020. RegCentric is ISO 27001:2022 certified.

RegConnect operates entirely within your own environment. It does not transmit or store your data. It takes your Excel input files, runs full APRA validation checks, and converts them to submission-ready XML files — which you then submit directly to APRA.

Q: How quickly can I be up and running? A: RegConnect is self-serve and desktop-based. Most users are operational within a few hours. Our support team is available to assist with setup.

Q: Does RegConnect store my data? A: No. RegConnect does not store your data, making it straightforward to deploy within your IT environment.

Q: Which APRA reports does RegConnect cover? A: RegConnect covers all APRA reports across ADI, GI, Life, PHI, Superannuation and RFC.

Q: What file formats does RegConnect produce? A: RegConnect produces submission-ready XML files — the format APRA has indicated as preferred for interim submissions.
